Bala AI operates the website at bala-ai.net and the companion chat experience offered through it. In this policy, "Bala AI", "we" and "us" mean the operator of that service.
This policy covers information handled through the Bala AI website, companion profiles and chat features. It does not cover third-party sites you reach by following a link away from Bala AI.
Bala AI is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age, and accounts identified as underage are closed.
When you create an account we collect the details needed to run it, such as an email address, a display name and authentication data. You may use a nickname rather than your legal name.
Messages you exchange with a Bala AI companion are stored so the conversation can continue between sessions. This is what allows a companion to recall earlier topics.
Settings such as companion choice, personality dials, language and notification options are saved to your profile so the experience stays consistent across devices.
We record standard technical information including IP address, browser type, operating system, device category, referring page and timestamps of visits.
Bala AI uses cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure aggregate usage. Essential cookies cannot be switched off without breaking the service.
We use aggregated analytics to understand which pages are used and where people get stuck. Analytics reporting is grouped and is not used to build advertising profiles of individuals.
If you purchase a plan, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. Bala AI receives confirmation of the transaction and never stores your full card number.

Where local law provides these rights, you may object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it while a dispute about accuracy or legitimacy is resolved.
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal took effect.
Promotional email is optional. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect essential service notices.
Companion replies are generated automatically. This processing shapes conversation content only and produces no legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Bala AI companions are fictional characters. Names, images and biographies do not represent real individuals, and nothing said in a chat should be treated as professional advice.
Pages on Bala AI may link to external sites. Once you leave, the privacy practices of that site apply, and we have no control over how it handles your information.
We apply filters and monitoring intended to prevent the generation or exchange of material involving minors. Accounts attempting to produce such content are terminated immediately.
If you believe your information has been mishandled, contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
We may update this policy as the service develops. Material changes are announced on this page with a revised effective date, and continued use signals acceptance.
